Yathra Support, on your computer.

A small app that lets us help you properly — see your screen, work on the problem, and leave. Installing it gives us ongoing access to your Mac so we can fix things without you having to be there, and removing it ends that access immediately.

Release ysc-macos-0.2.29-20260804.

What it does

Help when you ask for it, and nothing in between.

Remote support software has a reputation, and most of it is deserved. This is built the other way round: everything it can do is something you switch on, and everything it cannot do is switched off in the software itself.

01

Ongoing access while it is installed

Installing this gives Yathra ongoing access to your Mac so we can support it without you having to be there. Remove Yathra Support at any time and that access ends immediately.

02

No account to create

No Tailscale login, no Yathra account, no shared password. The installer enrols the device itself and the connection is private between your Mac and Yathra.

03

Screen, keyboard and copy-paste

File transfer, audio, recording and terminal access are all switched off in the software we install, not merely discouraged. Copy and paste works, because a support session without it means asking you to type things out.

04

Removable at any time

Remove Yathra Support takes the whole thing off — our app, the two components it installed and their settings. You do not need us present to do it.

Installing it

Three steps, once.

  1. 1

    Download and open

Open the disk image and run the installer inside it. macOS will confirm it is signed by Yathra and checked by Apple.

  2. 2

    Approve the setup

The app asks for the permissions it needs and explains each one. Your Mac will ask you to confirm; nothing is installed quietly.

  3. 3

    Tell us you are ready

The Mac joins our private support network. From then on, a session only happens when you allow it.

Already have Tailscale or RustDesk on the computer from a previous setup? The app will spot it and offer to clear it first. Let it, then run setup again.

Not sure whether you need this?

You do not have to install anything to talk to us. If you would rather we walked you through it on the phone the first time, that is completely normal. On a Windows PC, get in touch and we will set support up with you directly.
