The problem
A sale at Meridian runs for months and passes through agents, brokers and business partners. Each stage, from expression of interest through exchange and construction to settlement, can mean a commission or an invoice for someone, and every one of them has to be right.
What we built
We built Colombo for Meridian from scratch in 2015, on Symfony, to replace a manual workflow, and we have supported it ever since. In 2026 we moved it to Django and carried the deal and invoice history across.
It runs on the Django admin, themed for Meridian, because the people in it all day need fast lists and forms more than a new interface to learn.
What it does today
In daily use.
- Follows every sale through its stages, from expression of interest to settlement
- Keeps projects and lots, and what is available, in one place
- Works out commissions for agents, brokers and business partners at each stage
- Raises the invoices and payment documents, as PDFs and spreadsheets
- Shows each sales agent their own deals and payments
- Takes enquiries from Meridian’s website straight into a review queue
