HOPPD: your whole shop, sorted.
A supermarket app for Australian shoppers. Before you leave home, it shows what your list costs at Coles, Woolworths and ALDI. In the shop, it puts the list in aisle order and finds a cheaper or healthier pick on every shelf.

The problem
The supermarket is laid out to sell. There are thirty versions of the same thing, unit prices in small print and specials that are hard to trust, and the shopper has to remember what things cost last week.
What we built
We built the iPhone app and the data behind it. Every week HOPPD collects the shelf prices and specials each supermarket publishes online and matches the same product across the shops. Health scores come from the Health Star Rating and the nutrition panel.
The app turns all of that into one answer at the shelf: buy it, or hop to a better pick. Shoppers can photograph a label HOPPD has not read yet, and that one photo answers the question for everyone after them.

Next. The App Store release is with Apple for review. Until it clears, anyone with an iPhone can join the free test from gethoppd.com.
